Ive been expierencing a lot of friends leaving me behind or not including me lately. They are doing so because of my faith i come to find out. A lot of my friends know that i wont join in on drinking or smoking. Nor will i join in on crude language or language that lessens a person. And to go a step further i wont even laugh or pamper any of these things. I say this to say that to let other people know that if your going through the same thing but feel like your the only one well your not. I have lost friends left and right because these reasons. IT stinks to hear my christian friends abandoning me for these reasons The ones that once lived the way i live now, It breaks my heart. Knowing that friendships are lost for the time being and maybe forever. IVe had friends take things that i do and blow it up to make me look bad so other friends will think of me differently. And it worked on my best friend, it even worked on me. i just keep my sight on God and push forward toward my ministry for him in my life. There is nothing better then staying in prayer and keeping your focus on his will.
In case you ever get lost when trying to listen to other people. Because wisdom is asking questions, it is learning, it is having open ears but its hard to disingigh good advice sometimes. This is how i try to go abotu it.
I find that discovering people motives answers so many questions. IT can help you so much in life. Just understanding where someone is comign from or why they are telling you something. For example IF a guy says wow you look beautiful is he saying that so youll notice him? so youll like him? youll fall for him? or is he saying it because he wants to make sure you know your worth and to make you smile. or in other words is he telling yous ometing for him or for you. This thought of are they tellign me this for my benefit or theirs? CAn usually distinguish about 90 percent of what is truly genuine and right.
The other ten percent is hard. The people who are telling you something for you but are giving wrong advice. It stink but we/i do it all the time.
This is where you have to fist discover their motive and then understand where they are comign from. Where they were burned by something so they now are trying to warn you when you dont need warning or are they giving true advice coming from God.
astly have to decide for yourself by God what you should take in and listen to.
