As the hands of the clock, and sands in the hourglass tick and drain respectively, I have no choice but to come to terms with the sad fact that my time on this abused little planet is finite.
A huge percentage of the time alloted me has been used already.
Of course, no one knows how much...that's part of the fun, right?
But I will say this:
I wish in my heart of hearts, that I could have back all the hours I spent in repeated viewings of the following movies. Disorderlies, Walk Like a Man, Mannequin and it's god-awful sequel Mannequin 2: On the Move (a movie worthy of the Most Unneccessary Subtitle award if ever there was one) and that time I may or may not have watched Thelma and Louise (or really, anything with Susan Sarandon in it). Come to think of it, I can't much stand Julian Sands either. So anything with him in it, as well.
Also, any episodes of Herman's Head, or Parker Lewis Can't Lose that I might have accidentally witnessed may also be stricken from the record. Oh, and that time I sat through Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love.
I figure none of that has in any way enriched my life, or brought me any closer to recognizing the greater truths inherent in much of pop culture--the way I see it anyway.
Okay...so, given the above, the Universe owes me approximately 2 complete weeks of extra time on Earth.
Really, a gift card will be fine. I'll use it at my leisure.
