Sunday randoms...
- You ever realize that a lot of Jim Carrey's movie's plots revolve around his character getting some kind of amazing power that begins as an inconvenience but ultimately teaches him how to love?
- How big of a geek am I? I went to Fry's this morning and bought a network adaptor so that I could connect my TiVo to my computer, thus allowing me to play the 25Gigs of music on my computer in the living room. Also, I can program my TiVo from anywhere I have internet access.
- Yesterday Jill and I went to the movies to see Saw and The Incredibles. Three comments about the movies:
1. Cary Elwes should not act.
2. The Incredibles was very amusing...but it was no Finding Nemo.
3. Movies that you sneak into are 67% better than ones you pay for.
- I am contractually guaranteed to a get a $3,000.00 raise next month, and I can't wait. I'm going to ask for double that, though. Fuckers.
- I really dig Eminem. If he'd stop the gay-bashing and objectification of women, he'd by my hero. Okay, just the gay-bashing. Who doesn't love a chauvanist? C'mon ladies...you know you love it. Get back in the fucking kitchen before I dot your other eye.
- My mom's coming into town on Wednesday. Haven't seen her since my brother's funeral in August...and I know it's going to be hard on her coming here without having to work her schedule around visits to the hospital. She and Jill and I are going to go out to dinner Friday night, and then maybe I'll take her to a movie on Saturday. We seem to have gotten past the whole insurance money debacle, and this is probably the only time I'll see her this year, since she doesn't need to come out here for Christmas anymore.
