Week 8 Weigh-In

Wow. I'm shocked. Last week's loss wasn't a fluke. I have a day off running today so weighed myself without 'cheating' (last week I did it after a long run and assumed I'd lost a load of water weight for that loss) and bam! 1lb down. So I'm now sitting at 132lbs which is a tidy little number. Can't wait to get into the 120s ( Read more... )

I got to 129 last year after heartbreak and injury through, pretty much, starving myself. It was really dumb and obviously I lost all of my previous efforts with good eating and exercise, but I felt really hopeless and ugly... getting dumped does that to you. Before that, I think I did the same as you. I've ALWAYS been overweight, maybe not when I was in the single digit ages, but definitely from 12 onwards. Not too much, but as I went through high school I gained. When I was maybe 15 I was pretty big, I don't know if I remember correctly but I think at one point I was 160 though I don't trust my memory. And that just came off naturally. I've usually hovered around 140, easily maintained. So yeah, getting there healthily is gonna be a whole big thing for me.

What logic is that? If you're comparing us based on height then that only goes so far - I don't look good at 140 even though you do. We must just have different body types is all. So it doesn't mean a thing.
