I think we all were as prepared as we could have been. As far as I know, none of us saw that coming.

Yes, it's true. No one saw it coming. We must remain alert from now on.

I tried, I'll admit. Unfortunately, by the time I wanted to go down that path, my N.E.W.T.'s weren't up to par. I was... a bit wasteful in my first few years at Hogwarts, so really it's no surprise.

My apologies, I thought you had served. You would have made a fine auror, Thobari, and I'm sorry that they didn't give you a chance. Just your reaction to this event shows the kind of person that you are. You're a good person. Don't let this life force you to lose that.

Thank you. I would have liked to, but... I think I'm better suited for teaching. What matters is keeping the students safe; that can I do. Hopefully what I'm teaching them will protect them for the times when we teachers aren't around to keep them safe.
