The NHS nearly killed me and my baby... I honestly don't think what happened to us would have happened in a Private Hospital.
Having spent 4 months in Hospital (between baby and I) I don't have any faith in most of the staff who work in the NHS or in the way it is run, however I do believe that everyone is entitled to free health care and to that end I am very glad we have the NHS. I just wish it was better, that's all.
I think a lot of American politicians view the idea of an NHS as far too 'state interfering'.
