Chun-li had just come back from exploring with Leon when she heard the little girl calling out for Tifa and Yamato. Her small cry, she knew it to be Marlene. And her hands turned into tight fists, she was still wearing her swim-suit but her weapon was the power of her legs, and that was all she needed.

Now for a direction.

She pulled the communicator to her lips, "Marlene! What's around you? Can you tell me?" It was dark, but the blue fire held out in her hand--the chi of her energy, was enough to shed light three feet ahead of her.

"Can you see a blue flame? Can you see me? I'm coming toward your cabin.."

[She could see the light, and relief filled the girl. Finally someone!...Hopefully Yamato had found someone to help him too. He had to be ok!]

Chun-Li starts for the girl and drops the PDA to swing around her neck, as she's made it a neckless. Her fire still in one hand, and the other arm comes to swing Marlene up to hold.

"Where's your room.." She quickly asks, her eyes darting between dark and darker.

[She took Chun-Li's hand gratefully, clinging to the woman and looking back to where that man she had run past, hoping he was alright.]

Catching up to the unusual pair, Jono nodded briefly to the younger of the two, before addressing both.

"{I did th' best I could ter drive the beastie off, but there's no tellin' how long it'll stay away. We should get yeh ter yer Cabin quick-like. I've already seen ter that other kid, the little blonde one. I've got Amaterasu, a...big, white wolf takin' him ter Cabin N ter get medical treatment, that jus' leaves you, unless yeh know anyone else still out 'ere.}"

Rubbing at his head a bit, where the Black Annis had slashed at him, Jono sighed.

"{Oh, I never introduced meself. My name's Jono.}"

With Marlene up in her arm, Chun-Li's lit hand moves to better see Jono, "Chun-Li, we're heading to her cabin A." Knowing that the boy he spoke of had been Yamato--bringing her much relief for his assurance of his safety she turned, shining the light around them, as she looked from mid-level to the lower-level, the ground. "Come on, follow us up Jono." She asked of him as she started to head for the cabin. Freely running with Marlene being held, so to be quicker and higher from the ground--just in case

{Black Annis suddenly materialized directly in the woman's path, arms outstretched and wicked talons gleaming in the refraction of blue light.

The wraith screamed, a hellish sound that echoed into the animal range and she suddenly lunged, snatching the child's arm, leaving sharp but shallow marks in the girl's soft skin. Annis' other hand swiped at Chun-Li's face, attempting to make her drop the girl and recoil.}

Running to catch up with Chun-Li and Marlene, Jono caught sight of the Black Aniss as he closed in. He didn't want to hurt either of his comrades, but he also didn't want the monster to get it's hands on them, either.

"{Oi! Beastie! Ready for Round 2?!}"

Increasing his speed even further, Jono launched himself at the creature, in a full-body tackle that'd likely be the end of him, but it was all he could think to do, given the circumstances. He tried to orient his body so that the creature would be exposed to the fire that burned in his chest, hoping that even if he couldn't hurt it, he'd make it think twice about trying to go after Marlene, if nothing else.

Chun-Li turned her bust from Black Annis, though not fast enough as Marlene took the damage. But she lifted her muscled leg and gave the good witch a kick. Fortunately right into Jono's sprung attack.

"Oh.. dammit!" She watched the boy roll on the ground with the thing and then a sudden ignite of fire irrupted from him. She had no choice, she'd have to make a run for it. She couldn't help him and protect Marlene at the same time.
