"There can be no more doubts about Georgia. The fifth-ranked Bulldogs bullied No. 8 Tennessee and cruised to a 26-14 victory in Knoxville. The victory puts Georgia firmly in control of the SEC East and should put them on the short list of national title contenders."

Never have I read three sweeter sentences.

Wow, you just got really upset over something really trivial. I posted an opinion and my opinion was challenged, so I defended it. In the end, it really doesn't matter because I'm not going to convince you of anything and you're not going to convince me of anything; I just have fun debating stuff like this, but not with people that all huffy like you.

None of my comments have any sort of vitriol in them at all, and if it came off that they did, that's my fault and I apologize. But you need to just calm down. Learn to breath, or something, because you just went off the deep-end for no reason.

Besides, at this point in your life, you should know that the best way to avoid people like me is to avoid them. You have the exact opposite; you just jumped right into the fray and somehow you're the one getting angry.

And if you really believe this: "You may think Berry is the shit, but what you're going to find out is that no one has heard of it once you get out of Georgia." then maybe you need to do a little more research. I don't know if you saw the link I posted for Amanda, but Berry is ranked #2 comprehensive school in the South, which means that if nothing else, the people conducting polls and gathering statistics for U.S. News and World Report have heard of us. Not to mention that Berry has a 95% job placement rate for a given skill set, so it does look pretty good on a resume.

"...the best way to handle people like me is to avoid them."

Maybe I'll proofread next time

There are some other small errors, but nothing you can't gather from context.

the major point is that no one has heard of it other than the people who make the polls. the only polls people pay attention to are the 3 or 4 general ones that just have harvard, stanford, and all those at the top. they're like yeah everythings the same and they go about their business. no ones is really going to drill down and look at the rankings of all the small schools cause most people really don't give a damn. if they do, they're not going to be able to remember the names of them for more than 15 minutes. there are just far too many of them to keep up with. most people can probably write down the names of at least 70 of the 117 Division 1-A schools. As little of a difference academically as there would be between UGA and Berry... the name recognition nationally and probably decently internationally is much more important... and there wouldn't be a name recognition without football. so when you're rooting for your school every saturday you're helping yourself as much as your team.

And my point is that while UGA may be more well-known than Berry, the only reason for that is the football. Whereas Berry is very much well-known (more than you're willing to admit) for its academics. Again, I'm not saying that UGA is bad academically, but it's simply not the same as Berry.

And besides, if people are just going to glance at the top of those polls, then they won't see UGA either. UGA is ranked 58 in top universities in the nation, which is nothing to scoff at all, but this is going by your logic. This further solidifies the idea that UGA is known moreso for football, and honestly, that can only do so much for you.
