(no subject)
the last trip back to marietta before the start of school has been fun. mommy and i spent quality time buying stuff for the quasi-apartment (is it a dorm? is it an apartment? who knows!) at target (my how i love that store) on thursday. got some cool glasses, a few plates to go with the bowls we got at pottery barn, a genuinely pretty desk clock, some do-dads and knick-knacks, some other things. then she and dad took me to ViHi to have noodles at doc cheys today (which is more of a treat for them than me since i have one of those approx. 5 minutes from where i live) which was fun. i'm really lucky to have such great parents.
friday, tony and i took my brother to white water, which was lots of fun, saw michelle who i hadn't seen since the end of school (she works there), and had a funnel cake which was basically awesome. we only got to go on one ride before they had to shut them down because of a storm, but we waited it out for like an hour and the rest of the day was great and the lines were relatively short because people left during the rain. i staggered around for half the day without my glasses on because i as afraid i'd lose them, which resulted in me getting on rides where i actually became airborne, which was slightly frightening. all in all a very good time was had, particularly since the tickets were free, which is the bulk of the expense of going someplace like that. tony also got to meet my brother for the first time, and later on my parents. and the dog. they all liked him (including miss cassie mae) and it was a thoroughly successful meeting, which makes me really happy.
i also got some cool yoga pants at old navy. we had a coupon. all in all a very successfuly weekend!
but now i have to go to bed because i have to be packed and back in athens tomorrow to work at noon, which is so not fabulous. hopefully it'll be busy, because i'm going to be there for almost ten hours.
