002; dream

Warnings: Nothing this time around! More random females.
Effects: A feeling of longing and regret throughout the whole dream. At the beginning of the dream, Sanae is very young looking -- late teens/early twenties.

Sanae was snoozing. It was a wonderful snooze and he really did enjoy days like this where he could snooze. Currently, in fact, he was snoozing on the rooftop to 104. Not many people would realize this but there was a large garden on the rooftop and between two trees there was a hammock. Sanae was in the hammock.

So, he snoozed. Snoozed quite peacefully until he was shaken suddenly by someone sitting atop him. It wasn't very comfortable. He opens an eye to see a young woman who was very much an angel, if the angel wings didn't give it away. She was also very much English too. She smiled at him before getting off of him and walking off through the grass. Sanae moved to sit up, watching her and rubbing his eyes.

"You ditched our lunch date today, Sanae~"

"The stars weren't aligned or somethin'," he said with a yawn before shielding his eyes from the sun and looking over at Shibuya. Same peaceful city, he smiled before looking back at her.

"Did you sleep all afternoon?" she asked, tilting her head to the side as she leaned against a tree. The wings suddenly disappeared and her smile widened. She reminded him vaguely of the Cheshire Cat.

"... No," he bluffed, looking around. Where were his sunglasses? And his sandals?

"You're such a lazy boy~ When are you ever going to clean up your act?" And he looked back over at her ... ah, of course she was wearing his sunglasses.

He sighed, rubbing his temples. "Red, when are you gonna go home?"

"Oh, I dunno, I quite like Shibuya."

He grumbled and suddenly the dream changed. Shifting colors as the vision seemed to swim before suddenly, it was back. Yet... not quite. It seemed to be a piece of paper, drawing paper in fact. Sketch lines came on the paper here and there before erasing, wash, rinse, repeat, until a drawing of a the girl from earlier formed on the paper. The wings were expanded and she looked... happy. Her smile was so vibrant that the drawing almost seemed real.

Soon splashes of color came onto the paper, as if being thrown onto the paper. The sketch turned into a watercolor portrait of her. Of Red. Somewhere inside, Sanae smiled. She was his friend.

And then the pages were flipping, from that painting of the woman onto a picture of a man, and then a group of people and then the pages began to flip so fast now. It showed many different people, all smiling, all happy. Then suddenly it stopped on one last watercolor.

It was a picture of Joshua and himself. The feelings of the dream turned warm, if a little bit sad, when suddenly the page crumpled up and it was back to the garden rooftop of 104. Sanae was standing on the edge, much older now (as in his current age), looking over Shibuya, his hands in his pockets as he watched the people down below.

Then the dream cut to black.

[Sanae awoke, staring up at the ceiling for a bit as he yawned. He then sat up in his bed, a small fleck of red paint on his cheek as he rubbed his face. He opened his eyes a bit wide to wake himself up before running a hand through his hair and mumbling to himself.]

Ends justify the means.

[And then he glanced over at the Dreamberry before reaching over and turning it off.]

-dream, i totally have other friends than josh, dream a little dream of me, so much headcanon omg, *ic, where's my shibuya?, vaguely sauntered downwards, you're only as young as you feel, ends justify the means, --open
