And *again* it's out of the park...
(Hey, come give me a prompt.)

I gave you a prompt, and I'm about to go see what you wrote in response. That's a neat idea, by the way. I'm tempted to borrow it from you. :)

And thanks, Chelley. :)

I think Booth's question is somewhat mean. He knows how horrible that was for her.

I agree. It's just a dangerous idea. *g*
I think Booth's question is somewhat mean.
Interesting that you feel that way. That hadn't occurred to me.
He knows how horrible that was for her.
Thing is, he doesn't. He does in the sense that he's human and therefore he realizes that it couldn't have been a pleasant experience for her and Hodgins. But I rewatched their scene at the end of AiaS. They discuss Booth's prayer, God and whether He had a plan, whether Brennan prayed, her knowing that Booth wouldn't give up, and her being ok with his praying to give thanks for her and Hodgins being saved. But she doesn't actually ARTICULATE how the experience felt for her.
Though it's certainly valid to perceive his question as being mean, I think it will eventually make sense why he asked it. He's going in through the back door. Now, you may still come out of it thinking it wasn't a necessary question, but that's different.

And you and your cliffhangers. Booo!

Me too. She's a wonderful character.
Oh, and also how you write her.
Oh, thank you. :) Very sweet of you to say that.
And you and your cliffhangers. Booo!
Sorry. ;)

Booth got pwned.
And somehow that made it ok. The ridiculousness of the situation dawned on him then, and Booth felt the tension leave his shoulders. His lips twitched in response to Brennan's obvious amusement, and he nudged her with his shoulder. "You're a dirty girl, Bones," he said, unable to keep the admiring note out of his voice.
Hehehe! That's something I love about them, they can be winding each other up and going right to the edge and then back laughing with each other the next lol.
I think this was a good chapter, you surprised me with the question Booth asked, but I like it.
Ang go Brennan for calling his bluff.

Hell yeah. Totally.

Yes! You phrased that very nicely. :)
I think this was a good chapter, you surprised me with the question
Booth asked, but I like it.
Thanks. I wrote this chapter purely on instinct and then felt pretty crappy about it. But it served a purpose, and I think it will make sense eventually, even if it doesn't already. As for Booth's question, I get the sense that people expected him to ask Brennan about her feelings for him, or something like that. So if I surprised anyone, I'm glad. My hope is that it SURPRISED people but didn't SHOCK them (i.e. come across as something wildly out there that makes no sense in the larger context of the story).
Brennan's a gutsy gal; Booth should know better than to think she'll go down without a fight. *g* Then again, I think he enjoys her. ;)
Thanks for the feed! :)

Lol thanks :) Interactions like that remind me of the fact that whatever they are or will be, they're friends first, which is sweet.
Hee! I think everybody has chapters like that now and then, but I really did like it, and it fit, especially with what Booth found when he was wandering around ;)
I didn't think he'd try asking her how she felt, but maybe some sort of random getting to know you type question. The fact that he asked about the grave digger instance kinda made it mean more to me.
*g* He so does, Booth likes the banter/bicker, methinks :D
