it's what you wanted

So--

Mercer's plane left the ground about two hours ago and I am now tucked away in my room, belly full of soup, listening to music before heading out for the evening.

I'll do my best to recount the past week or so. Some of the best things included: smoking and sleeping on Sunset beach, waking up and swimming in the clear blue-green waters along the Northshore, whittling away hours at places like the Coffee Gallery and Rosie's and Pizza Bob's and Green Papaya and Coffee Talk and BC Burrito, napping on the beach at Waimea Bay and watching the sunset and seeing dolphins right along the shore (just as everyone had left), visiting art galleries and performance spaces during Art Night in Chinatown art district, doing cartwheels and clapping games and drinking kava on UH campus during a festival with Aimee and Jess and Flo and Nikki, watching a bizarre independent film (called "The Dress") at the rRed Elephant, having mochies at Bubbie's (passion, espresso, and raspberry), Hot & Spicy Ramen, late night adventures to the only 24-hour diner on the island, Ansel Adams exhibits, squeaking swingsets past midnight, fruit stands, bus rides and transfers, watching the sunset and the city light up from Christmas Tree Hill, music and film premieres on Waikiki beach, fist fights, and my soccer ball.

I was/am seriously considering staying for an extra semester. I need to give it much much more thought.

Tonight, I'm uploading pictures, sending e-mails, loading mp3 player with new songs, taking a shower, and heading out to Ong King for some open mic. Then I will be a slave to my books for the next few weeks until my paper drafts are submitted, my Chemistry test is out of the way, and I am caught up on my reading.

Check out my Facebook photo albums...there are some new pictures from the past month. Both albums are titled "Campus Life."
