life is pretty cool right now.
new job is good. i thought i would really resent going back to work in a bar, but i think it has just made me realise that i'm not suited to desk work, and i DO enjoy it. what i don't enjoy is working for cunts, no matter what industry i'm in.
also amazing how much getting paid what you deserve enhances your work ethic.
spent this morning dancing around my house semi-dressed and listening to the smiths while i cooked eggs and straightened my hair. i'd forgotten how much i actually love mornings like this, and have made a resolution not to turn the television on anywhere near as much.
also, i advise everyone to listen to the knife, deep cuts, again. i'd forgotten how brilliant it is. even if it is giving me proper flashbacks to a certain time in my life.
now, to enhance my day even further, i'm going to go to brick lane and drink a really big soy latte while curled up on the couch at coffee@ and read jean paul satre before i go to work. does it get much better? i think not.
i'm going to come home to sydney for a couple of weeks over christmas and i really can't wait. it's going to be incredibly, incredibly strange though. seeing everyone, and what the city is like. but i can't wait to see all your faces. i definately need to get pissed on passion pop on new years eve too. old habits die hard.
