It's been almost two months since my last drabble, (Darn you, education!) but as my semester's winding down, I'm feeling inspired to write something other than papers for school. This is for rhr100's theme, special.

He had never felt special. Being the youngest of five brothers and a mere year older than the only girl of the family made sure he didn’t. Being best friends with the chosen one and the smartest girl of her age didn’t help either.
He assumed Lavender would make him feel that way, but she only brought on lust and foolishness. It wasn’t until later that year when another girl-a beautiful yet reserved girl-finally did it for him. As yellow canaries zoomed around his head, he knew. Only a special person could illicit such an action from Hermione.
