Yami no Yuugi used to love looking at Yuugi’s eyes. They were so bright, shining with hope and determination; it made him feel like no matter what they faced, they would be triumphant in the end. White teeth, flashing in a cruel smirk, eyes that shifted between the iciest blue and darkest purple, and an attitude that grated as much as it repelled - he was evil, and he was unforgettable.
Slowly, Yami no Yuugi started to lose interest in Yuugi’s eyes. The innocence that shone in them was vapid, the trust was naïve. He’d always loved Yuugi before. Now he found him irritating, but struggled to push those feelings down because he was the Pharaoh. He was the good one. He would save them all, with the help of his host.
