I smile and you smile
we're awkward and shy
you kiss me and
and as your hands tangle
in my hair I feel...

my barbed wire halo
pressing in closer
my barbed wire halo
growing tighter
my barbed wire halo
slipping
slipping
slipping (I'm slipping away)

Breaking for breath we're
so unsure of who we are
or what we should do just
standing here breathing and
each waiting for the other
to break the ice(make the first move)
and all the while I feel...

pressing in closer
my barbed wire halo
growing tighter
my barbed wire halo
slipping
slipping
slipping (You're slipping away)

Turning and walking away
leaving only loneliness where
warmth was or was thought
to be in search of a phoenix-chimera
false rebirth that masks
the undead and unloved but
now I can just feel...

choking
strangling
killing (slips over my head and rests around my neck)
