Post-structuralist * indexical * alterity * meta-art * constructivist * semiotic * hegemony * epistemological * semantic * denotation * intertextual * post-postmodernist * essentialism * the gaze * hyperrealism * metadata * didactic * the 'real' versus 'reality' * and lots more ..

Please tell me if you had to write essays using this kind of thing in your second year at University! This is partly the reason I still have two 2000 word essays to write in the next 6 days and I haven't done them yet. I enjoy the theoretical parts of the course but it's not easy. We do get to watch 'The Matrix' and discuss 'Inception' and dissect YouTube videos of 9/11 in class though, so I like that part. I think if I was younger I would have liked to be a professor of semiology like Umberto Eco, but it's too late for all that. I knew there was a reason I always liked the writings of Jorge Luis Borges (and Scarlett Thomas). If you like reality and illusion, read Borges's short stories, especially Tron.

So, have a couple of photographs instead, much easier :)
