Grammer... it's not just for cavemen anymore!deathbydustMarch 19 2004, 21:15:21 UTC
Who cares about bad grammer and spelling? Languages were started to convey meaning and most have been spoken much longer than they have actually be written down. Language was made to convey meaning, not give kids in english class nightmares.

Eh, try again, I'm a few years away from a Doctoral Degree.
It's just lame for people to pick apart bad grammer and spelling in a relaxed and informal setting such as LJ, if you don't agree, then I feel you are taking life way to seriously and should have that stick surgicly removed from your ass.
It's getting louder!omfg_i_r0x0rMarch 20 2004, 02:30:19 UTC
Fabulous! Do me a favour and be consistent and use your terrific 'grammer' and language skills in your thesis. You'll gain my respect!!!1 Your peers and supervisors probably aren't so good with people without a ruler up their ass. They r sooo lame. Teh BASTARDS. Liek they shuld care.
There is nothing more dull than the one who comes into a discussion about the skillzors of the onlinetherapist, to bitch about people not having to speak properly. It's even worse when they believe themselves to be educated and feel the need to reveal it.

Try again, I didn't claim I was educated, I only clarifying that I am not a drop out. A piece of paper doesn't make one smart. It only gets them a job.

Then why pull out the 'doctoral degree' card like some kind of inflated wanker?

We established that a while ago. Time to move on and take your brilance into a different realm of thought. I still say we should wait for Danny, April and whats-her-face to finish their exams :)
GrammAR - *wasn't* employed by cavemen you ninny.omfg_i_r0x0rMarch 20 2004, 01:08:24 UTC
You poor thing. Ignoring the fact that brilance means absolutely nothing and that one finds it very hard to convey meaning if the pronunciation isn't anywhere near reflected in the spelling...you need to take a linguistics and semiology course before making inane, meaningless and incorrect comments like that.

First off the caveman thing was a joke, you sarcasm death moron. Secondly, you can take all the grammer and linguistics classes you want, me I'm more interested in finishing my DOC in the next couple years. So when I'm making the big bucks, tell me how that linguistics thingy is going for you.

OMFGLOL!!!!1 Big bucks indeed. Just make sure you get a job where you don't need to speak or write.
The thing is, a PhD only takes a few years my dear, I don't know how slow you are. This means that I am also a few years away from sending it off to be bound. Must you really be such a poser. Nobody else feels the need to parade around wearing their 'i got me an edumacation' t-shirt. I may write 'OMFGLOL!!!1' but I start my third degree in july. I could have started my a while ago but I couldn't think of anything more irresponsible than using a single degree as the foundation for 3 years of work and 100 000 words. But so what? It means nothing in a LJ discussion like this. Find something on topic to talk about.
Better yet! Let's wait for the onlinetherapist to help us out. We've got some conflict issues, we need help.
