1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
went to Chuck E. Cheese's, moved into a dorm that felt like an "apartment," got a several big and medium brown bags from Bloomingdales, went to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, rode in a Chrysler Pacifica, bought pinstripe pants, rode the 5 train, went to Brooklyn... should I really keep going?

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

No, and, no. I will keep the same one.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

I don't think so.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

My grandmother.

5. What countries did you visit?

United States of America

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?

a more acute sense of reality, time, and importance of things and people around me

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

September 21st (my grandmother died), September 3rd (returning to NYC), July 21st (my birthday - my Japanese students threw me a party)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

so very many

9. What was your biggest failure?

not getting laid, but I didn't really try hard enough. Oh, well.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

No more than usual.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

my PUMA bag, all that stuff from Express, Kiehl's, that pillow from Target that improved my quality of sleeping

mine, certain friends, my roommates, people at work during difficult times

Food, products that smell good (even if they smell the same as other stuff I have), subway fare

I just did. It was very low-key.

No, I don't hate them. I'm just thoroughly disappointed, and kinda relieved.

I turned 19 and I had a slightly mediocre gathering at El Cholo.
