Judging from the moonlight and darkness, it's rather clear that it's already well into the evening as Ada walks into the room. Turning on the lights, she's not surprised to find two cats already curled up on her bed.
"Snow, Lucky, look at this..." she manages to say, pulling out a letter from her school bag. The crinkles are already great in number on the page, despite the fact that she only received it that day.
The cats mew and the white one uncurls itself, giving Ada his attention. The black one merely gives an inquiring glance, though he makes no move to actually get up.
"Uncle Oscar said..." her voice gets softer as she trails off, emerald eyes going down the page again. Then, reading it word for word, she recited a certain sentence, "'Just thought you should know, Oz is back.'"
"Meow...?" inquired Snowdrop, the more curious of the two. The name was unfamiliar to them.
The blonde girl wanders to the bed and scratches behind the snow-haired cat's ear, making Snowball emit a purring noise. Still in a bit of a daze, she explains, "My big brother... he's back."
"Mew..." responded the kitty. Lucky, it's darker counterpart remained the same throughout the explanation, only vaguely interested but still listening to his mistress. Ada glanced towards the two and managed a soft smile, knowing full well that they likely didn't understand her, but she found it fair to inform them anyway.
Looking away from them and withdrawing her hand, much to Snow's dismay, she began thinking out loud of her predicament, "The next holiday is months away... I won't see him for a while." A stray hand came to her face as she continued to ponder, "Will it be enough time...?" Surely she wasn't ready to face him after years of seperation. She had to prepare mentally, of course.
Though a thought came to her mind. Ten years. She'd changed, hadn't she? In a few months, she would change even more. "Has it been too long already?" Beginning to despair at the thought, she bit her lip and buried her face in the pillows dramatically before looking for consolation desperately, "Snow..! Lucky...!! What do I do?!"
By then Lucky had been jolted into a sitting position by Ada's sudden movement. However both cats could offer no words to help talk her down from her emotional standing. "Meow...?"
Sitting up, still clutching the pillow for dear life, she continued her lament, "Why am I so late to know...? I bet Gil knew." A small pout came to her at the thought of her (ex?)-servant. "Why didn't he tell me?"
Tentatively glancing at the letter again, she leaned against the pillow, bringing her knees up to her chest. "Uncle Oscar said it so normally... Just like he mentioned the letter." Again she hid her face and her following outcry was muffled, coming out to sound something like, "Bufh why?! Ah wanna know morf! Brufur's finary bach!" Pulling away from the pillow again, she muttered as she took in a breath of air, "But... the only person I can ask is Brother..."
Lucky and Snow made a combined effort then, making their way towards Ada as Snow laid a tentative paw on her arm and Lucky simply leaned against her.
"Uncle Oscar planned this, didn't he...?" She couldn't help but frown a bit at the idea, wiping away at the tears that had begun to form during her time of insecurity. The cats gave no answer and simply continued to purr, attempt to console her since they were unable to answer any of her questions.
Luckily, Ada was always a rather easy person to please. The frown was replaced quickly with a smile as she pet both cats. "What would I do without you two?"

[She wakes with a smile on her face. Her darling cats! How she misses them both... Though she stops as she recalls the panic she was in during the dream. How unnecessary! But... still so embarrassing. She whispers to herself as her cheeks start to redden]
I-I can't believe I cried...!
My worries were so unnecessary too. [a small laugh] I can't wait to tell Snow and Lucky!
... I wonder how they are?
[ooc: fft. Ada's black cat never got a name so I decided on Lucky. Because I'm just that creative, guys. ♥]
