Boy, It Is Already 50 Years!

Why was Khrushchev removed from power?

He was a boor. But who wasn't in the Evil Empire?
He was almost always misunderstood.
When he was pounding his shoe on the desk in the United Nations,
what was really outraging was that he was wearing a royal blue suite
while his shoe was BROWN! This was inconceivable.

Then, from his visit to the US, he brought the idea that growing corn may save his country from the situation his party created with food supplies.
This sound idea was immediately perverted by the lower level Communist leaders.

Then, again from the US, he brought the idea to create a similar two party political system, dismantling the monolite Communist party and splitting it into an industrial monopolist (similar to the American Republicans) and a rural, agricultural (like he imagined the American Democrats) party.

Then he decided to convert the Evil Empire into a federal state, like that same America.
He broke the unitarian structure of the Empire into a smaller number of larger Economic Regions. Shutting down the Ministries that operated from Moscow. Moving the bureaucracy from Moscow out to the provinces.

The first created the hate of population.
The two other were absolutely unacceptable to the totalitarian leadership of the Evil Empire.

These two - the two-party system and the federalization - were the actual reasons of Khrushchev's demise.
