I've just watched a film called Innocence. Its about a really weird french bording school. It follows a group of girls 7-11 from when one arrives till another leaves and its in french. The only lesson appears to be ballet and the rest of the time the wonder around in the grounds (which they are forbidden to leave) and they never meet anyone from outside. So in terms of plot its not exactly rocket science. However i'm still wondering what the hell just happened. What is the point in the school? why are the teachers so weird? why do the new students arrive in coffins and why is everything in a uber strict matriarchy? Nothing happened really, but for some reason i'm left with feelings of over whelming confusion. hmm.... this is the reason i should never even attempt to watch films that a) try and explore the emotional issues b) include symbolism and c) are french. Georgina i think you should watch this film, i suspect you will enjoy it. Ahhhhh my poor brain!!! why on Earth did i watch it all?
