Which one suprises you the least?
1. A chabad website
publishes a letter from a non- chabad woman describing how she was called a whore in a parking dispute in Crown Heights. The commenters respond by saying that if she is going to judge Judaism by the Jews, clearly she's unfit to begin with or just making excuses for her lack of observance.
One commenter ( #5) criticizes her for using the word "whore" in the letter because such language should not be on a chabad website.
2. A conservative Rabbi tries to discuss Judaism respecfully with the
YWN coffee room. The orthodox posters trip overthemselves trying to see who can look like the biggest idiot. The Rabbi leaves, very politely, on page two.
3. An engaged female blogger
discusses halachic sources for certain sexual practices. Her chosson also joins the dialogue. This whole thing is
decried as immodest and a complete breach of orthodox practice. Because talking about sex before marriage is apparently abhorrent to God who wants every couple to be stupid and clueless and guilt-ridden.
