God I miss Tennessee weather.
This is wrong right? I shouldn't be grinning so much inside when my window is making all too familiar "i am going to get my screen ripped off by the wind" noises.
I shouldn't giggle in slight excitement at the fact our lights are flickering...
I definitely shouldn't be relaxing next to my dog who is freaking out at the wild storm going on outside.
But for some reason instead of being concerned I can't help but think "mmm home!"
It's early in the year for these storms to start coming--but then again its also been ridiculously warm here so it makes some sense that we are having one of our early spring storms.
The thing I love most about this is how everyone in my family is terribly unconcerned except for my dog.
Humans can get used to this shit but apparently dogs can not.
And I start thinking about Anina and Katie who were concerned with the "big thunderstorm" we had in the fall and how they looked at me in astonishment when i said "You pussies this is NOT a storm!"
I wonder what they would be doing if they were here right now. Probably acting a bit like Izzy, i reckon....
You know, its funny what you miss about your home. I miss my family, my dog and my bed but I also miss hills, storms, and being called pet names by complete strangers.
I love college but this place will always be home.
