When the question comes Kame laughs even before answering, a short amused “no”. The needle swings and the guys cheer around him, patting his back and laughing loudly. Kame grins, looking down embarrassed and denying to think of himself as the coolest out of them.
“Especially, you think you are cooler than Nakamaru.”
The needle swings again when he denies it and he laughs, fully aware than Nakamaru is right there behind him. It is all a trick, the old man with the white robe moving the needle, and they know it, but it is fun anyway. Nakamaru pretends to be offended as they continue with the questions, and soon it is Jin's turn to answer the questions.
Later on, as they leave the studio, Nakamaru punches Kame's arm a little too hard, looking angry.
“So the baby thinks he's cooler than me? Well let me tell you, your nose isn't any better than mine.”
Kame laughs, wrapping an arm around Yuichi's shoulders. “Of course I don't! Our resident egocentric bastard is Jin, not me.”
“I say you treat me to dinner to apologize.”
“You're the oldest one here, shouldn't it be your treat?”
Yuichi shrugged, grinning. “Cool guys treat their friends to expensive restaurants. And since you seem to think you're cooler than me... I want italian.”
Kame laughed, pushing Yuichi away but already fishing his phone out from his jeans' pocket to make reservations. “I already told you that's not true! This is totally unfair.”
Yuichi smiled as Kame talked on the phone, booking a table for two in some fancy italian restaurant. He knew that Kame did think of himself as cooler than him, even if it was just slightly. Not that Yuichi cared. He had long since accepted the fact that Kame had reasons to believe so, and he felt more proud of his bandmate than offended at him.
It was not that bad, being lied about such a silly thing if it got him free high class italian food.
