Madness!
It's been so crazy here! Chris is taking Taylor to watch the SB at Gammy and Poppy's. I'm going to stay here. I get up too early. Actually, I get up an hour later now. Our Oldies station just flipped formats to Spanish. And then I got an e-mail from Lu yesterday and she said that the Oldies station in EVV that she was PD just flipped to Country and they let her go! Unbelievable! I so feel for her!
I've been awful about writing. No comp time. We're supposed to be house hunting...
My brother-in-law put his truck and van up for sale. Chris has had to field calls and show vehicles for two days now. I'm incredibly annoyed. And what are Chad and Ann doing? Out looking at RVs they can't afford and houses they can't buy. They already own a house that needs repair before they can even think of selling. In the meantime, we've wasted our entire weekend showing their vehicles. Chris is pretty pissed, too.
We actually had a little alone time last night. I spent all day cleaning my mother-in-law's house. She had surgery last month and I told her I'd help out. So, we shipped Taylor home with Aunt Patty and went to dinner at Chevy's. We weren't out long, but it was nice to just get away alone together for a little bit even. And Taylor had a good time with Amanda (his cousin who watched him). And his little cousins were there, too.
We are looking into the house next to Patty's, but the guy is waffling... to sell, not to sell... the house he owns across the street (also vacant) was just padlocked. It's in foreclosure. He needs to make some decisions. We offered him cash for the one next to Patty. You'd think the decision would be easy. It seems nothing is ever easy for us.
Work is good. Melissa is still annoying. She's a know-it-all. I ignore her for the most part. She pissed Robyn off on Friday. She always has a snicker or comment when someone stammers during their report. It's all recorded, but it can be edited down if someone doesn't screw you up so that you have to start over. Melissa is the one who is always taking 10 minutes to record and edit one report. She has two stations. Robyn and I have 5 each. And we have to share computers. So, it gets irritating that Robyn and I can bang out three reports in a row with little to no editing. Takes about 5 minutes tops. Then Melissa ties up the computer for 10 minutes on one station. I've been late at least one report a day from it. I can't wait until the new studio is done! Just a few more weeks! Yay!
