Stem cell research is going ahead. There's promise that some paralyzed peeps will re-gain movement, and other organs can be fixed, etc. etc. increasing the life expectancy of humans some more.

I wonder if this is a bad thing?

Is there such a thing as "people living too long" and putting undue strain on the economic health of a nation?

I mean, obviously there is, if everybody lived until 1000 and retired at 65 or whatnot, the country would probably be in economic ruin. I would guess.

Hmm... must think more on this... Also must corner J, and get him to talk about this and other things.

Thoughts, anyone?
