Now Noshing: Yamashiro Sushi Bistro
Ever since Nikkos closed, I've been trying to find a good japenese restaurant. Yamashiro's is my new nippon fave.
Yamashiro is a cozy japanese restaurant that has an amazing assortment of sushi. Their entrees are also pretty darn good. The best deal IMHO is the $16 the whole pepper and salt chicken for two. Its mighty tasty and is served with pickled daikon and cucumbers. Yum! They also feature all-day Sunday happy hour and is one of the few places that serves sushi till 1am. I find the private rooms in the back for parties of 6 or more pretty nifty too. If you go be sure to tell me how the tempura cheesecake tastes! (since i can't have any!)
