Now Playing: Mall World

Jul 25, 2005 09:55

This weekend I saw wakko, turtle_avenger, and izzbot at oninopoptart's party.

I wasn't even going to attend this party, but I really wanted to see turtle_avenger. I was so happy to see her! It made me all giddy!

It's rare that a game keeps me awake past 2:00 AM. Mall World by Rio Grand Games did just that. Mall World one of those games you have to play several times over to understand it fully. Since the rules are badly translated its just best if you dive in, watch other's play, and not worry about winning. At first glance, Mall World is daunting with many critical choices to make. I see it as a game with a series of combination puzzles that require timing and patience as you crescendo towards your goal. I like it because its a game that forces you to think and plan well into the future and early choices have a direct effect on end game play. I look forward to playing it again soon.

I'll write more about the game later. Now its back to work....
