WWPF Day 1: Dinner & First Day Eval

Aug 17, 2009 22:48

Tonight's dinner was spicy roast herb chicken with mix brown wild rice and steamed veggies. Over all very tasty and satisfying.

Here's a quick summary of today's effects.
  • Energy Level: Low - not sure if its because i'm still running on fuel from yesterday or if my body is still adjusting, but i felt kinda slow today. Almost, nodded off at my keyboard at around 3pm while working.
  • Hunger Level: Normal - i tried my best eating at 3 to 4 hour intervals. It seemed to work. I also realized that i often mistake thirst for hunger. So drinking water and tea kept the hunger levels nominal.
  • Waste Level: 5 wasted vs 5 used - I used much of the food that I already had for my cooking today. But in the process i found some bad food and had to throw them out. I guess I broke even on my usable-to-trash ratio.
  • Quality Level: High - after each meal, i put the dishes strait into the dishwasher. This cut down on the amount of icky dishes to do later in the day. It felt rather good to see an empty sink at the end of the day.
  • Out/In Ratio: 0 out vs 3 in - so far I haven't eaten out today, just spent my meal times at home.
Today was a pretty low stress day and I spent it mostly at home after running a few errands in the morning. I wonder how I will fair on a high stress day? Or when I'm out side the house for long periods of time visiting friends? I guess I'll have to make a plan for when I have to eat out. Right now the only restaurant food that's non-processed are salads, minus the dressing.  Maybe there's more options -- I'll  have to ponder on it some more.

Side note: Tomorrow I have a job interview.  I really hope it goes well! :)

life experiments, week without processed foods
