#686 Kopi-O & Don

Jul 08, 2010 10:58

I like the Kopi-o provided by
Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple Association
No. 15, Arumugam Road, Singapore 409960

The kopi-o is rich and has a nice aroma. It has maintained such high standards throughout the years as proven by me. I drank it everytime when I am there, ever since when I was a small kid.

People may say that it is unhygienic. Although the cups are washed, it's pure rinsing and not washed using soap or detergents. But I think it's perfectly alright. Nothing has happened anyway.

Then, we took a bus to Grandma's house. Had lunch at the PS Bakery & Bistro.
I was attracted by the banner that I saw while walking. They had just came up with 3 types of Don. I thought I will give it a try. They only served western food when I came to know about its existence the very first time.

Mom, with the Bistro as her background.
Mom was afraid that it will be a large serving. So, we shared one.
It's nice of the Lady Boss to get us an additional bowl and set of cutlery.

PS Bakery and Bistro's Unagi Don, $6.90.

The unagi has a fishy smell. The egg on top of the rice was too watery. As a result, the rice become soggy. Not very nice though. It is like eating the more expensive type of rice with hor fun sauce 烩饭 at those tze char stall.

As for the rest of the items served by the Bistro, I am not sure. It's more ideal to stick to things that you are better at.
