It's been ages since I last visited IMM.
The very last time was when Giant Hypermart opened its first outlet there.
Which is like years ago.
The waiting area for the shuttle bus has shifted.
Even the appearance of the bus has changed!
So does the building itself.
Main purpose of coming here to day is for the Daiso ダイソ Flagship store and Giant.
Mom unleashed her shopping power at Daiso.
Bought a total of 8 items, meaning the bill was $16.
Here's a list of what she bought:
Zeolite Deodorizer ゼオライト脱臭剂
Spoon for WonTon Soup 便利れんけ
Stainless Steel Mini Ladle ステンレスミニレ一ドル
Stainless Stand For Ladle ステンレス玉スタンド
Laundry Pole Stopper 物干し竿用ストツパ一
Vacuum Seal Storage Bag for Clothes 衣类取纳用压缩袋
Clothes Picker ひつかけ棒
And a packet of Brown Sugar Crackers
This flagship store is really nothing compared to the one that I've shopped in 梦时代广场,高雄,台湾. .
By then, it was soon approaching dinner time.
To avoid the crowd, we decided to have our dinner first.
We walked to the garden to have a look.
Is this normal or abnormal?
Kopitiam (IMM). Since what they have are common food, we opt for the not really uncommon ones.
Stall: 03 Japanese food.
When I first approached the stall, the lady asked for my order with a smile.
I was still looking at the menu then, wondering what shall I have.
When I decided to place the order, she looks as if she is having PMS.
1 Teriyaki Hot Plate Set for $7.90 and 1 Tempura Set for $6.90.
Know what? Maybe they are pirates.
That hot plate was not authentic hot plate. You don't feel threatened carrying it.
Teriyaki Chicken was nice, so does the sauce.
Don't ever order Tempura Value Set Meal!
The coating for the vegetables tasted so similar to flour. What a failure!
Time for Giant.
I missed the bakery department that was there years ago.
It had a great variety and was freshly baked but now, it is worst than an ordinary bakery that you can find in the neighbourhood.
After queuing for quite a period to pay for 2 packets of Enoki Mushroom, Minute Maid Pulpy and one last item which I forgot what it is, we were about to walk to the car park to take the shuttle bus back to Jurong East MRT Station.
Then I saw a primary school girl carrying her younger sister, who was crying and struggling to break free, most likely to be having a tantrum walked past. One of the younger sister's orange Crocs shoe dropped. Both of them didn't realised. One hand with that big Daiso Bag and the Crocs shoe in my other hand, I ran like mad after the 2 sisters. Glad that the sister was actually running towards the baby-stroller that they had near the check-out counter. She stopped and I passed that dirty-looking shoe to her.
What's got into me? Running like mad just to return a shoe?
Perhaps I am really very やさしい by nature.
