If you are yearning for food during this March School Holidays, why not visit the Food & Beverage Fair 2010 (Singapore's Largest Food And Beverage Exhibition in Town) that is currently held @ the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Exhibition Halls 403-404 (Level 4)?
It will be held over a span of 4 days, starting from 18 to 21 March (Thursday to Sunday). Operating hours will be from 11 am to 10 pm.
Official Site for the event:

I suppose everyone knows how to get there?
If not, refer to
http://www.suntecsingapore.com/geninfo/how.htm Actually, I do not have the urge to rush to this F&B Fair, even though it shines in comparison with the Asia Food @ Expo (@ Hall 6A, same duration) What I can say is that, I REALLY look forward to the Singapore Food Expo @ Singapore Expo Hall 5, 28 May to 1 June, from 11 am to 10 pm. Will pen down the reason why at the end of this year. Hopefully, that helps people in deciding which one to go for.
After 小姑 decline 二姑's invitation to go for the fair together, me and my mom became her only choice. She doesn't like the feeling to being alone. "It's good to have a kaki to chit-chat."
Mom wanted to take the shuttle bus but had to give in to 二姑 as she's looking for a pair of shoes (for work) that is on offer as recommended by her colleague. But the only piece of information given by her colleague was to purchase the shoes @ City Hall. Bloody hell. Do you mean City Hall MRT station, Raffles City,
CityLink Mall or Suntec City itself?
She walked into many shops (BeetleBug, Charles & Keith, Pedro, PrettyFIT, U.R.S & Inc., Rubi) that sells footwear in CityLink Mall. My mom & I had to pull her away from NewUrbanMale.com cos it's damn obvious that they only have flip-flops or slippers, as you would like to call it.
Was very worried about my mom. She can't walk or stand for too long. If not, leg PAIN ah.
While taking the escalators to level 4, 二姑 kept asking me about the other Asia Food @ Expo as if she was really afraid that she is at the wrong one. How can you have doubts? I've been to almost every event concerning food held in either Suntec Convention Centre or Singapore Expo for the past few years.
It was only when she bumped into her colleague at the fair itself and heard that the one @ Expo had nothing much.
The name of the fair is quite inaccurate in the sense that this fair is not entirely about food. You have vendors selling fruit machine, balls that can act as washing powders once you throw them into the washing machine, scarfs, bags and cloths. You can even spot CIMB there!
Not much crowd. That is a relief for my big-sized 二姑. No offence here.
Also, it's only Hall 403 and half of 404. Another half was dedicated to Study @ Australia.
If you're thinking of stocking up on condiments, I'm sorry to say that you have to wait till May. Not many Singapore brands are participating in this fair. But an offer not to be missed for kiasu Singaporeans is to buy Super Coffeemix. Be it 3in1 or 2in1, low fate or reduced sugar or Kopi-O. They have it. For any purchase of 1 packet of any of the 3in1s or 2 packets of 2in1s, you get to receive a free cup and spoon. Any purchase from Super will entitle you to one of their recycling bags but you have to remember that it's only eco-friendly provided that you use it daily for your grocery shopping or any other purpose. You will see a lot of aunties carrying a few bags. Typical in this island or little red dot.
二姑on a shopping spree for edible and non-edible stuff. Cloth, sesame oil, instant coffeemix, seaweed, crispy fish crackers, cutting tools and lots more. She ate rojak, satay, nasi lemak, hakka soon kueh, cake etc. What I am trying to say is that, she is a big eater. Lucky my mom is not like her, if not, where am I going to find money to support her and my dad in the future?
A staff from Theresa's Slimming Centre approached 二姑 and asked if she's interested in their packages, which are currently having discount. Very enthusiastic. "You want facial or slimming session? Come lah, I take some measurements? For free!"
Can't imagine that a few bottles of juices actually costs $700+. Scary.
Was having such a good laugh which I reckon that it extended our lifespan for quite a number of years. It's rare for me to laugh till such extent recently.
P.S. Anyone wants to hire a person to help them carry their bags of merchandise purchase on their shopping spree? Consider me.. I was 二姑's maid this time.. You know how heavy those bags were...
Back pain...
