I think the clasps (and hinges) that come on these boxes look horribly cheap (and they are). So I've spent the last three hours online trying to find new clasps (and hinges would be nice) that don't look chinzy (is that how it's spelled?). I can only find jewelry clasps. I've used these searches:
wood box clasp
box clasp
box clasp - jewelry
Probably a few others. Is there a different search I should try? Why am I--in three hours--not finding clasps that would work on a box?
I've spent three days of the past week in the dentist office. I am no happy camper. I am a hurting camper. Worse is that, because I was being seen on an emergency basis, the dentist I was assigned to (whom I adore, by the way) could only see me when he could see me, which meant two- and three-hour waits.
Goddess, I love my dentist. He is so nice and gentle and friendly. Sadly, he's also an intern and will be returning to school (Harvard, no less) December 1, so he won't be my dentist anymore. He (jokingly, I later found out) invited me to have him do my further dental work with him at Harvard. At my next appointment, I told him I wanted to do just that. Unfortunately, he said specific patients (is that what we're called) can't be assigned to specific students. They are just assigned. No pickin' and choosin'. I whined, so he said he would look into whether or not I could be assigned to him. A special case thing. :) He said that, if not, he knew that a fellow student was assigned to come to this office in January. He highly recommended him, and, further, he said he would have this fellow student contact me to set up an appointment. What sort of dentist is that?! He is just such a nice guy. And incredibly adorable, to boot.
If only he didn't put me in such pain.
