There's a miniature back hallway between my back door (in my bedroom) and the main back door. (Hard to explain. It's miniature as in it's about two steps from door A to door B.) Anyway, I use a big portion of this miniature back hallway to store stuff. Now, I have a lot of stuff that could be stored back there, but what do I mostly store back there? Boxes. If I order something and it comes in a box, the box gets stored in the back hallway. Storing a box or two there might not be so bad, but I store every box I receive back there. Why? Well, one never knows when she might need ... not just a box, but the perfectly sized box. It further might not be so bizarre, but how often do I need a box?! Oh, once a year. At most. And normally it's to ship something via Priority Mail that can only be shipped in one of the post office's official flat-rate boxes. I really don't understand myself sometimes.
I'm really not a packrat. At least I don't think so. I have sold or given away oodles and oodles and oodles of stuff since moving from a spacious two-bedroom apartment into an (*cough*) efficiency apartment. I downsized so much that I even was able to do without my storage unit one town over. I am down to the bare bones (well, for me, anyway). But I save, of all things, boxes?
So what's one of your quirks?
