Here is something I receaved from my Shaykh, Shaykh Fattaah, last night,
Every Man’s Prayer
Ya Allah! Fill up the hearts,
Of each tyrant with compassion,
Divine Knowledge do impart,
Make Your wisdom each man’s passion.
Your generosity is vast,
Fill each tyrant with Your kindness,
Your treasures they are unsurpassed,
Lift the veils that cause their blindness!
You really could do this with ease,
“Mercy” is what You are known for,
You make the world spin as You please,
You made this universe and more.
Purify the hearts of mankind,
Forgive each woman and each man,
Revive each heart that’s dead or blind,
Transform each tyrant in every land.
The Prophet himself one day stated,
Prayer is the weapon of the faithful,
This should not be underrated,
Ya Allah, for this we’re grateful!
Sometimes restoring balance, means favouring the voices which have been drowned out by the din of the many, or the loud, or the powerful. Who can listen to the sounds of their own heart, when a tempest rages about them? It was said better by someone else, sorry I don't recall the phrasing. Listen for the song that still plays in people's hearts beneath the tempest, and you will find the eye of the storm, whereever you may be; and the calm and focus therein shall be your salvation when all else is confusion and chaos.
