I guess warriors die all the time; people fighting for what they believe in. Maybe it's not the 'winning' that's so important afterall. If my death inspires others to strive for something beautiful and good they believe in, even if not giving up on your integrity means you can't win, maybe it's still the striving that is important (Ragnarok?). If there is a god in his heaven, and the good go there, then perhaps fearing death only increases the length and bredth of our sorrows. I don't want to die; I want to live. Was it in Braveheart? Fearing death or harm is living in another prison - fear keeps us from trying, giving up before we even know if we can succeed. If we do that, evil wins without even a fight. People can fight through peace - they don't have to kill... but they still have to have the courage to stand up for what they believe in... or everything is meaningless, in the end...

sorry for the depressing note. Consider it a eulogy, or a turning point in my life, where I will try to live less afraid...
