a little sad and little happy
So tom officially left for iraq last night. I called and said goodbye to him and he was soo nonchalant about this whole trip to iraq. Like, "o yeah....im going to be back in 1 year. Whatever." I was pretty upset saying goodbye. I got a phone call from my sister this morning at 9 am and she tells me that she thinks she's gonna go to church. My sister hasn't gone to church in ages so this is pretty shocking for me. She only goes to church when she is very very down. Anyways. the least I can do for her is just be there for her whenever she needs me and go visit her pretty frequently and keep her mood uplifting.
On a brighter note, school starts tomorrow and I get to start out with a big bang with my art history class called, "american folk life and folk art." Exciting, eh? Hopefully the professor will be good and the class will be good.
Oh and I love having my roommate, gloria, back. It's great, going to places together, eating together, and CLEANING together. O man, last night we did korean-style cleaning where we went around our living and vacuumed down the whole room with a vaccuum hose! I'm so tired from cleaning. We had to carry this huge purple sofa across the room so now my upper body is soo sore and last night before i went to bed, it felt like my arms were going to fall off.
Anyways, I woke up to awesome weather and I'm up and refreshed.
