Back to the beginning...

I am going back to the beginning... starting over/new... I started this journal for myself... to discuss, if any are willing, the more difficult subjects of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Some things in life are good... while other things are not. I will talk about them all... if you don't like it... don't read my journal. Simple as that... So now I will discuss what is on my mind...

I am overwhelmed with various questions...

Why do some speak one way but live another?
What makes some ignore the truth?
How much time and energy does it take to live two lives?
Where do they believe it will lead them?
What makes some to discount the words, deeds, and actions of another?
What sufferings would compel one to share their pain with others?
How can one break a cycle they don't think exists?
How can one be so lost in this world?

We are so caught up in the speed of things... fast food, fast coffee, etc. that we are disconnected from each other. The focus of these days is ME, ME, ME...so 'why should I care about anyone else?' seems to be our motto nowadays. If someone falls, there's not many who'd run over in concern. When we fall ourselves, we scream and get mad that few come to our aid, if any. The military's motto "army of one"... the epitome of today...selfish behavior promoted, strangely enough. Lawyers find loopholes in the system to get murderer's off scott-free. Promotion of distrust...invincibility...the feeling of: we can do what we want, when we want, how we want, to whom we want. Predators in life...in nature... alone without a pack.

But that is only the masses... there are some, still, who believe in the old ways. The ways of truth and compassion as the base of their beliefs...a drive to protect and care for life, unselfishness, with forgiveness as the important part in these old ways. They flock together in a pack...yet tend to become the prey. If not killed, they rise up again, with support of their pack, to face a new day... to face the chance of another predator attack...to show courage each and every time...
