Log: Saving Fuji

In her state, Fujiko was reckless, she didn't want to be near people and took off to the mountains, gliding over rocks instead and relying on bungie rope to climb and not careen off the side. She just needed to find a cave or so she could sit and think and figure out all the stupid shit she'd done and said and how to just goddamn fix it. She inched along ledges, throwing her bag up safer places and continued climbing. At least it was something physical she could lose herself in.

There was no actual good position for Toboe to choose right now. He felt tired, spent, and just wanted to stay still for a while.

The fact that Tsume decided to leave the submarine was definitively something the pup wasn’t expecting, but being his mate he had no choice to follow the older one. And what happened next was definitively something he would not even dream of!

First Toboe was told he was too young to that sort of thing, then him and Tsume left the submarine and all of sudden the older wolf just... it was too embarrassing to even think of it. Tsume was showing him a point, true, but things escalated. What was done was done, and finally now in his human form, his hand caressed his own waist so he wouldn’t feel so sore and sighed, looking up at the sky. He’d remember to tell France it didn’t feel good. At all. He should have listened to Fujiko… and Orphe… and probably everyone who told him just to forget about it.

At least Tsume was calmer.

“Tsume.” He started, looking at his mate “I like it on the submarine”.

He felt awkward about all this… Way beyond anything he had ever felt. Still hearing the screams of pain his mate had shouted while he… had done it. He shouldn't have… he wasn't going to do it when he started it... it had just… happened. Tsume couldn't even look to Toboe in the eyes right now. But he could actually see that he had made a hot headed decision… With Darcia around… could he actually protect Toboe on his own? But he was too proud… to say it. "Obviously you liked it. Your dream is to be a human dog after all…" Again, he didn't wanted to say those harsh words, but nothing else came out, again, he was way too proud to apologize.

Fujiko climbed the rocks a little more uncertainly before. These were much looser than they should be and slick besides. It was evident there must have been a recent mudslide in the area and on a spring island there was probably a lot of heavy rainfall. Even if there were caves to find, they might be covered up now and maybe she should go back to the sub. Well she refused to do that. Not until she worked out what to tell Jyabura. She'd fucked up and had to fix it and didn't even know where to start.

Toboe pouted “I’m not their dog! I like them. They treat me like a friend, not like a pet” he sighed “Tsume. They are nice. They are nicer than the humans we met over our world. And you lived with humans before, it should be okay aswell!” The red wolf got up, making a small pained sound “We don’t have to steal food, they take us anywhere we want, and they respect us. And they try to help as well.” He approached his mate carefully “Let’s go back. Please? Fujiko is worried, I’m sure.”

Tsume looked to the ground, annoyed. He wouldn't return!! He wouldn't return there like a dog with his tail between his legs. He was too proud for that. "Do what you want!" he growled "I never asked you to follow me!"

His hand reached for Tsume’s arm, giving a small whimper like he was begging for his mate to reconsider. “Then I just want to say goodbye to them, okay?” he was sad, of course!! Turning into his wolf form again, walking in a submissive manner towards the forest. Sad puppy eyes didn’t really work with Tsume.

Looked to the other wolf leaving… "What the hell am I doing" he asked to himself when he notices his mate was already too far to hear him, placing his face on the palm of his hands.

The rocks under Fujiko's fingers gave way, the rocks under her feet scrambling further. Eyes widening, the girl panicked and frantically clung to anything she could. The whole mountain seemed to be slipping; this was definitely a stupid idea. Finally, her fingers gripped more rock and clung on desperately, silently praying it would hold. The area around her stopped crumbling but looking around she was completely stuck. There was no safe place to move to. She was utterly stuck for as the long as her fingers could hold... after which point she was doomed. Great. Fantastic ending to a great month of screw-ups.

Toboe sighed. He hated saying goodbye, but he’d always stay with his lover. Kiba was the alpha, but he never seemed to show any objections at staying or going from the submarine, so it wouldn’t be a problem talking with the white wolf.

Suddenly something called the pup’s attention. A smell he recognized, actually. his head rose, Toboe took his human form and looked around. She passed through there, alone. Not long ago since the smell was still pretty recognizable. Immediately he followed it, of course. “Fujiko?” he walked - as he could, considering the situation - through the forest towards the mountains, calling for his friend. “Fujiko?”

Fujiko's ears perked. Toboe... she wanted to run further. She definitely didn't want him to see her like this, especially not if Tsume and him were leaving for good. She grit her teeth and searched for someplace else to put her fingers so she could inch away and hide. Damn wolf noses. Everything was either smooth or impossible to grip. "I'm fine," she lied softy, not sure where he was or even if he could hear. She grabbed for something far away and that rock fell out as well. Clinging back to her original point she internally swore. Still very stuck.

Toboe did hear, at least something that reminded him of whom he was looking for. His eyes looked up when he found the woman after scanning the area “FUJIKO!” his heart almost jumped when he noticed her current position; this was why Toboe wanted to be near his human friends. To protect them, to help them!

He suddenly jumped high, but not as high as he could because his back suddenly hurt. Ugh, no good. The pup gasped when he felt the sharp pain, but shook it away. At least right now Fujiko could see him; even if Toboe wasn’t near her, at least he was no longer hidden by the trees at the base of the mountains. “Fujiko! Are you okay?!” he had to call for help.

"I'm fine!" Fujiko insisted louder this time and a little mad. "Don't even of coming up here!" Jeez if she couldn't find a way out he was not allowed to come get her. She figure something out on her own. Her own mess, she'd deal with it.

“No!” Toboe pouted “Why is everyone so stubborn?! You are obviously stuck, let me help you!” help her…? He was in no condition to try any funny movements. Again he jumped a bit higher. He didn’t reach her, but actually Toboe knew perfectly well he was in no condition to do so.

"Quit it!" Fujiko yelled, glancing down, "You're not allowed to get hurt just because I did something stupid!"

“I’m not going to get hurt!” The pup stood clung to the rocks as well, looking at her. His eyes looked down and he gulped softly- okay, no good. “Fujiko, don’t move.” He’d have to call Tsume… who would be so angry. Toboe took his wolf form, howling as he called for his mate.

Tsume heard the howl, raising his head up.

“Did… something happen?” He raced towards the direction the sound had come in his wolf form. Thinking of the million things that could had happened. How foolish he had been for letting the younger wolf go on his own.

He reached the place. Observing the mate, to make sure that he was fine.

“What??” He asked, still with a worried voice.

Tsume. Great. made everything better. He took off running because of her big mouth, she had to be the last person in the world he wanted to see right then and she was inclined to reciprocate the feeling. She attempted to shift away to get away from the wolves but only slipped further, scraping up her hands even worse. Real smooth.

“Tsume!!” Ah, how Toboe was glad to hear him “Tsume, come here! Fujiko, she-!” when he heard the female moving, immediately his head rose, looking at her “Fujiko! Don’t move!” things weren’t going well. The pup looked down, trying to find the grey wolf, now almost begging “Tsume, help her!”

Looks to him. After some seconds his face got angry “You called me because of !?” He had worried!! Though that it was something…

But then again, looking down, she was really in trouble…

Looks to Toboe, sighed.

“Okay…” ends up agreeing. Turns to the cliff. “I AM COMING, DON’T MOVE!!” screams, turning into a wolf form, and starts jumping from rocky extension to another.

Fujiko scowled, "Don't bother," she grumbled loudly. "I'll find my own way out, you don't have to get hurt over something as stupid as this." At least she knew it was stupid.

Fujiko was as stubborn as Tsume, it seemed. At least the grey wolf agreed on helping her. The pup jumped further, careful, ignoring the pain and actually very much ready to jump to grab her if the woman fell. “Please, Let us help” because if she refused too many times, Tsume would probably leave. “Tsume, be careful”

Tsume complained inside about a million things, but for once actually stayed silence about them. Craving his claws on the rock once he reached Fujiko's location, each paw on each side of her, bites her cloths on the neck location, so that she wouldn't be in trouble to fall anymore.
He growled, signaling her to let the rock and hold on to him… preferably on his back.

And again, complained a lot inside, cursing for actually letting a human ride on his back, what was he now, a horse?

"Ah... Tsume..." Fujiko held on securely, swallowing hard and burying her face in his grey fur sadly, "I'm sorry. Really... I'm really sorry... for everything." She bit her lip, furious with herself and confused about everything. Grateful for the rescue and wishing she wasn't such an idiot sometimes

Toboe felt so relieved when he saw Tsume reaching for her. Once he made sure the two were now safe, the red wolf jump down towards the ground once again, feeling pain on his back all over. His hand had to reach to the place to calm it down a bit and then he turned into his wolf form, waiting for his mate and Fujiko.

Tsume climbed down in silence, with the human on his back, stopping as they reached the ground. Looks to Toboe and then for the woman that was on his back.

He was surprised. It was the first time… a human apologized to him… that way.

When they hit the ground Fujiko quickly climbed off, sitting on the ground, not trusting her legs to sit up. "Toboe," she looked at him worriedly, he seemed hurt. "Are you okay?" She glanced back at the grey wolf, "Thank-you... Tsume. Sorry. I... owe you. A big one."

Immediately the pup walked to Fujiko, nuzzling her hand, wagging his tail quietly. “I’m okay, don’t worry. Are you okay? What were you doing there, you could get hurt!” he turned to the older wolf "Thank you."

Better thank him a lot, because he would never have another human on his back again!?!

“…” walks away a little, not knowing exactly what to respond to this sudden thankful wave that the other two were feeling for him. Plus he was feeling a little guilty on Toboe’s painful condition. Sighs.

“Toboe isn’t able to move very well…” looks to Fujiko, now in a human form “If it’s possible, can we return to the submarine?” he asks, looking to her more aggressively than one making such a request should do, but it was because he felt awkward, not mentioning the huge effort he was doing in just requesting it like that.

But… there was no way that the wolf was in conditions… of being on his own.

The sub? Did that mean they weren't leaving after all? Fujiko ruffled Toboe's ears gently. "Oh. Of course," she quickly forced a gentle smile. She looked down at the red wolf pup in alarm, "Want me to carry you?" A disarming smile at Tsume, to show no harm. And she paused, she needed to tell him something before they went back

"Tsume... I'll... never make either of you stay if you don't want to. That's not how we work. I run away from people all the time because in my world, that's safer. Here it's... not.... as you can see." She bit her lip agan, "But... I can barely accept that. I wouldn't expect someone to just..." She trailed off unable to put what she meant into words

Ah? The submarine? But Toboe though Tsume wanted to leave. Did this mean that they wouldn’t and they could live with-his chain of thoughts was broken when he heard Fujiko “A-ah, I’m okay, don’t worry” his tail wagged faster.

The red wolf turned to Tsume now, waiting for him to reply to her and . Fujiko was trying, after all! He should just accept that they aren’t bad people.

Tsume hardly listened to what Fujiko told him about. The only thing he caught was the yes about their stay on the ship and she asking Toboe if he wanted her to carry him.

He coldly walked towards Toboe, placing both hands under his knee and back, raising him up and carrying him on his arms, not saying a word.

Walks towards the submarine, with a very grumpy expression on his face, ignoring Fujiko’s existence on his back.

Taking that to be a yes in grumpy Jigen-style. Fujiko shrugged and walked along behind him. She wasn't actually in the mood for talking even to fill the silence. The only person she wanted to talk to was Jyabura and him just barely. She half didn't want to go back to the sub either but her hands were scraped up from the rocks and she needed to get it cleaned and looked at if nothing else.

“Gah!!!” the pup gasped in surprise, looking at Tsume as he picked him up “T-tsume!” … he let himself stay in his arms, though, and now looked at Fujiko giving her an apologetic smile, before his arms wrapped around Tsume’s neck and he hid his face on the darker wolf’s neck.
