Okay its official. London is the best city on earth-- Ever.
I returned to this fabulous metropolis yesterday and while it hasn't been a walk in the park I have loved every minute of it.
I at first couldn't find anywhere to change my money and then when I did realised how BROKE I AM! P.S. I'm supposed to mention 96.3 WDVD so that the DJ who takes Alexas requests from Ireland will see my blog too! What up.
Then once arriving at the wonderful and trustworthy Antigallican Hotel, I check in throw my bag on my bed and go downstairs to read a little before crashing only to be pulled back to the entrance area and asked "a favor" turns out that these two french kids also had a reservation and someone didn't figure out how that all worked. I offered to share my room with them because I was in a three bed room and really didn't mind but apparently they did. Maybe they wanted some sexy alone time, who am I to judge? But yeah like the martyr I am, I took a transfer to an 8 bed dormitory... awesome. Mind you this place ain't air conditioned and 8 bodies sleeping in one room put out a lot of heat. Thank god I remembered pjs.
Whatever. Accidentally slept in so I didn't catch Equus. Next time. It runs until June and I will see it if it kills me. I'm on a mission now. I did however motivate myself to go to the Globe to see what was playing, nothing until the 4th of May but behold tomorrow is Shakespears birthday and they're doing this huge shindig WHICH I WILL ATTEND! FACT. There was also this awesome street book fair where I picked up a few more books since I just finished Pride and Prejudice and right as I put on my MP3 player I was serenaded with "lets get it on" So Choice!
I also made my way to a different theater where I picked up my ticket to one of the greatest shows on earth- Avenue Q! Holy crap. I thought the music alone was great, who knew how great the whole thing would be. It was just a perk getting to see it in person it was a wholy new experience and thrill. I do not regret the price. I do not regret the price. I do not regret the price. I will keep saying that to myself until I believe it.
I have plans oh man. If the Shakespear thing doesn't last all day tomorrow or if I don't make it in I'm gonna go catch a low key version of the crossing of the guard and see Abbey road.
Any how, couldn't be happier but dreading the endless train ride back to my place and the inevitable return to the land of Ire.
