I managed to be a little more productive yesterday.
The trick, I've found is to get everything done when I get home or else I won't get it done at all.
When I got home, I vaccuumed, took out the trash, swept and cleaned the kitchen and played the 'find-the-smell' game (to no result, though it doesn't smell anymore) and called the vet to finish up Zoe's documents for Korea.
Turns out I need a packet from the Korean Consulate, which I kind of figured, but I'll be going there in early July to finish up all of my visa stuff anyways.
Went and laid out in the sun for a while which was nice since it finally almost feels like summer - though it was no more than 65 degrees, but still. Talked to Wickedkitty and figured out the 4th of July plans. She's going to go home with me on Friday and spend it with me, and then meet up with her mom on Saturday. Hopefully my uncle comes down Saturday night so I have a ride home on Sunday so I can get groceries from my mom.
Of course that means that not only do I have to work on scanning slides, but I also have to pack. *pout* Thankfully I can do both things at once since there's an 8 minute lag between scans (but its 4 scans each time so its not too bad). I even emailed my aunt and told her my going rate (since I hate having to put a monetary value on my work). I think I'm going to have to charge her $20/hour since beginning archivists get about $16 with benefits and I am super broke and need the money.
Need to call my stupid temp agency since for some reason I'm missing a $100 deposit for last week's work. It would definitely be appreciated since I literally will have $20 to my name once I pay my rent next week and need to buy a bus pass (thankfully only $10) so I am broke broke broke. It's all those visa fees and getting ready to move abroad that's doing me in. (Though they will reinburse $50 for the visa costs)
Khymmy, Saraphin, and Misto are coming up to see me today (hopefully). It will be nice to see them, since I haven't since Christmas. *pout* Not sure what's planned for the day but we usually come up with something fun.. Hopefully the weather stays nice (its not supposed to be too warm, though the sun is kind of out right now)
I just need to get through another 3hours(ish) of work and then I'm home free.
Keep having nightmares about being late to work. Its really strange. Out of all the things that should stress me out, I don't think that should be in the top 5. I was only late waking up for this job once, and I made it there on time - in fact I was 10 minutes early because everyone ELSE was late.
Did manage to get myself out of bed at 6:30 to shower and had a leisurely breakfast of leftover pizza (we were bad last night).
Guess I should find something to do.
