SCIENCE CAN TELL US ZINGS ZEE GREEN GROZER CANNOT
- Went to both Julie's bachelorette party and wedding. Suuper glad to see everyone even though I was drop-down-on-the-floor exhausted after both. Julie's maid of honor is a great gal and her mother-in-law also seems cool. I took 79 > 388 > 77 to Chipley for the wedding so I had a nice, peaceful, traffic-free drive and was shocked at the gridlock when I got back into town. There are too many people vacationing here for the meager infrastructure we have.
- Broke my back molar immediately after getting home. On bread. Bread. Calling dentist on Mon and hoping they can fit me in. Nerve is exposed so I'm p sure they're gonna have to extract it. The fun never stops.
- Got the all clear from doctor to bend and lift again. It'll sound weird but being able to do chores again is fucking awesome. He said the leaking is superficial and likely from stretched skin, and will be okay if I put a lil ointment on it (which I had been doing; yay, I know something about wound care after all). He started to say, "Your next appointment...," then thought for a moment, and finished: "...get a mammogram when you're 40." So oh boy is it a relief to know the tissues they took were benign and the endo shouldn't come back because eeeeeeverything is gone.
- I am so full of love for Castlevania I might explode. I don't know why. I haven't played any of the games recently but I just. GOD. WHAT A GREAT SERIES RIGHT....?? RIGHT
- I did a big batch of commissions and it was great to be working regularly again. I've gotten a bit faster and have tools I like and am comfortable with so I think I can offer some cheaper stuff that people might be more willing to spring for. I know getting an individualized quote for a large piece is intimidating.
- HP bookmarks in particular are doing well in the shop, along with the Good Omens stuff as always. Thinking of doing some postcard prints for both at a slightly lower price point, and have a sketch for a Good Omens thing already. I'm probably going to do some kind of sale with a deeper discount to move old product soon, too. Might eventually get reprints of the GO postcard 'cause I like it, maybe with a different background color. Oh, and Marc ordered one of the Golden Goddess shirts and the quality of the fabric + sizing seemed really good but I think I need to darken the line-art on the file a tiny bit.
That is all I can think of right now but I might make another inane post later cause my brain is scrambled.
