I won't be running for the next term; it's time for a change, and I would like to be afforded a chance to be able to focus fully on the police force that I've set up. There is still much to be done without taking on the additional duties, and I'm sure that the next Warden would be able to do an excellent job ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're still going to be around enforcing a police system, on the other hand.

Some of these candidates seem laughable.

Can't abandon something that I set up earlier, can I? Of course, I fully intend on assisting the Warden however I can, considering the fact that there are one or two candidates who are actually worth looking into.

Prince Charming seems to be a very good choice so far, when it comes right down to it.

Mmm, this place is improving; what do you think of the talks of introducing some sort of judicial and legislative system here?

Tch, some of them seem to be running for the hell of it and it's hard to take any of them seriously.

Never heard of Prince Charming up until the invasion. If he's that credible, I'll take your word for it.

I believe that they are excellent ways in their own right, but the dynamics of this City must be considered. Frankly, setting down the laws in a City like this is a herculean effort, and the results cannot possibly be seen in a short span of months. What the prospects need right now will be the support of as many people as possible for it to bear fruit. Without the charisma of one who can pull the people in and sway them to see the fact that the system is a good thing, it will be impossible for the system to be enforced, even if it comes through. Ah, my apologies, I was rambling a little too much there.

It is, and I personally find it quite an insult to the integrity of the system, as fledgling as it is.

My thanks, Lady. Watch for him, I believe he's one who will bring about the changes for the better.

No, you're right, it's a small idea right at the moment, and even if their hearts are in the right place, the other question is do they have the funds for it. Though they are holding their own naive ideals, it will take far longer than they think to form, not everyone shares the same ideals for system of law and justice. Democratic, Republic, it doesn't seem to matter - it'll take more than just a small handful of individuals to create a suitable government. But then the small police force is a step in the right direction.

I can understand your sentiments completely. Considering who is nominating themselves for the warden position.

I shall.
