The appearance of Megumi's boyfriend had the potential of disrupting what I've planned for her, but it seems like things are still proceeding in my favor for now. It's still intriguing, how many things one can get when you put your mind to it. Put up a well enough act, and everything falls into place.
Her contacts and standing in this City is of utmost importance, the people who know her and who are willing to listen are who I require - it's not time to give up this game. Not yet. The ones in her care are significantly important as well. Mieu, Vivio, Anise. No more than children, but it looks like there's more to them that it looks. If I'm able to use them as well...
No. Right now, aside from her, there is the matter of the City Watch. They will be watching what I'll do, both the citizens and the ones who volunteered for it. Such a double-edged sword, but it will be interesting predicting what those after me would do next. What crime am I guilty of that I can be exposed for, here in this City where there are worse elements lurking? How many moves will they try to make against me? The pieces on the board are already in my favour.
All that's left... is to figure out just how they will be moved.
