It's good to see that nothing lasting happened to anyone after that particularly nasty curse, and it looks like the City still keeps up with its pattern of sending citizens in every alternate week.

For the newcomers, welcome to the City, and if you need any help, I'll be glad to offer it.

And speaking of new, Lamont and I will be working on a new ( Read more... )

Hello, Saya. It's been awhile since I've heard from you; been doing well, I hope?

Very well. How are you, Light?

Not up to anything wicked?

It's been rather dull.

I'm horrified you would think anything I do is wicked, Light.

I'm surrounded by hypocrites.

Mischievous, probably? You know I still think very highly of you.

Hm? What happened?

It's just a pattern. Are all humans hypocrites, Light?

More or less. And it actually really depends on what kind of a person the one getting offended is. Perhaps it may be an act, or perhaps it may be genuine.

Everyone lies, too.

I knew that people lie. You'll find most shifters lie too.

Spiders don't lie. We misdirect, we speak in riddles, we refuse to answer. But we don't lie. It unravels the weaving.

Shifters? Finding someone who tells the absolute truth will prove to be impossible, hm?

And it ruins the masterpiece.

Mm, shifters. Were...well, once upon a time, every animal was a were-something.

It does. Would you like to see it, Light?

That would probably make sense. I've heard about legends, but it seems like werewolves are most prevalent, or am I mistaken?

Of course I would like to.
