The boy - Nate River- is here. And so are two of their cronies. What is made much worse is that L is has already contacted all three of them. It's unclear as to which timeline the boy's from, but that won't matter. A member of the SPK is with them, and it's logical to assume that they will already know about Mikami being the other Kira.
That said, it will only be a matter of time before L knows as well. Such a thing is unavoidable, but right now, I need to focus. The plans I've drawn up earlier will now be scrapped. It will stand to reason that Mikami and I would be under the most surveillance and suspicion; once again, they have zero evidence. The Death Notes will be pivotal in this game, and that is something I will not allow them to get their hands on, at any cost.
We will continue playing our little games, but it is still a clear stalemate. In this City, they are unable to do anything, and the Notes are already hidden away. The scrap of paper L probably has doesn't matter. Ryuk will not be coming near me anytime soon; the problem of the shinigami is not of any importance for now.
What would be most important now would be predicting what they would do next; and Misa's eyes.
And of course...the fact that I still remember Nate River's name and face. It is impossible to kill him permanently in this City, but it is possible to control him with the use of the Death Note. It is, of course, a risky move - L would know it immediately - but one worth considering when it comes right down to it.
That, and I'm itching to kill that little bastard.
Perhaps the boy's arrival is proving to have it's merits, after all.
