Well, I'm still watching Naruto, I just have the last handful of episodes to catch up on. Did you hear the exciting news that Viz made a deal to put the new episodes, subbed on hulu.com the same day they're out in Japan?!?!? You pay a small fee to watch them the same day, or wait a week and they're free! I think this is a HUUUUUUUGE step for the industry, really. I would imagine that if it works for them they will do it for Bleach too.
Nope, haven't heard of that yet. :) But then again, I don't follow Naruto. I honestly don't really know why I've followed Bleach this whole time through all of that filler arc (I wanted to stab the cast honestly x_x), but the manga isn't too bad (although extremely drawn out - reminds me of Takahashi's works now :P).
If I may recommend a good one that is currently being fansubbed: Tales of the Abyss. It's based off of a RPG by the same title that came out in 2006 on the PS2. It was a great game (as with most Tales of games) with an awesome story and enduring characters. Ok, so the main guy is a bit annoying and stupid through the first half of it, but he does redeem himself. <.< Heh. Anyways, it's still a good anime to watch and the animation is very well done! :)
I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I think that last filler arc with Bleach was the best filler arc I've ever seen. I actually LIKED Amagai, which made the end of the filler arc that much crappier. :p I liked that Kira got some screen time, although what it would do to him to lose two captains in a row.... ack.
I'm glad to be back to the Arrancar stuff now though, even though I think most of them are seriously annoying. The spoon-shaped guy they're fighting right now annoys me in particular. At least we're making progress with the story.
I don't read the manga because I enjoy the anime so much when I don't know what's coming. I'd kind of like to go back and read what I already saw, though. I love the artwork. Same for Naruto and One Piece.
Yeah, Amagai was pretty neat, but the end felt like they just pulled something out of their rears with how they ended it. :\ I dunno... it was pretty decent until that point, I guess.
Now what I think are really cool is the story behind the Vizards! :D I wish we could see more of them. :\ *sigh* And yeah, the current villain is just annoying. Spoon-head! XD
I also wish the stupid pink-glasses guy would stop breaking Renji and Ishida! Arrrrrgh. It's hard to watch. Someone needs to squish him. I guess there's not really a lot of Arrancar I actually LIKE. I adore Ulquiorra because he's one of the only ones that doesn't posture and get all cocky. He just kicks butt! And I loved that when Ichigo tried to fight him, he admitted that he was impressed he had to use two hands to deflect the blast. I will be sad when he someday, presumably, bites it.
Have you seen any other anime currently playing?
