Moving along
It's been *AGES* since I've added an entry to this thing, I realize that... but pretty soon it's going to have a new look (with graphics that WORK - I don't know what Tripod's problem is right now) and will be updated more frequently. So let's see... what's going on in my life... For the past week and this coming week, I'm temporary curator of the same museum where I worked for the curator last summer. He left four months ago, and accessions/cataloging etc has been a mess since then. I'm slowly getting it straightened out, but more donations are dropped off (usually with little information) all the time. At least I'm getting paid.
In the meantime, I'm trying to find a place to live for when I start grad school in... well... three weeks. I think I've found a place, but we haven't committed ourselves quite yet because there's a couple of places left to check. It's a 1-bedroom apartment, all my own, in an apartment complex very close to school. I'm really excited. It's unfurnished, which has its advantages (being my own decorator) and disadvantages (hauling everything up there). I'll post about this some more after tomorrow, since we're going back up to finalize stuff then.
I've also been playing Final Fantasy VIII, which my lovely boyfriend bought me for graduation (for my PC). :) It's a lot of fun, but very time-consuming. I'm only a little under halfway through the first disc (of four). In addition, I'm in the midst of a huge counted cross-stitch project of two swans, and reading Cause Celeb by Helen Fielding. I really need to clean my room and start packing for school, too. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get back from Louisiana, where he's doing annual training for the National Guard. We haven't had much of a summer together, because I was in London for seven weeks, then we had two weeks together, and now he's gone for three. When he gets home we get one more week, then I have to move up to school! Sheesh.
Now I'm going to get working on the new layout for this blog. The graphics are pretty much done, it's just loading them and figuring out the html.
