Today is Bryon's birthday! Wheeeee! We have plans to have lunch at Ruby Tuesday with his parents, where he will also get his presents. Mwahaha.
...and then, just like "
Scrubs," we will careen into the serious for a moment...
Something very sad happened yesterday. Do you ever feel like certain families end up with more than their fair share of tragedies? It's just not right. Well, I guess there's really nothing I can do about it except to offer whatever help I can. I'm close by if you need anything and I'm never more than a phone call away if you need to talk. I'm sorry you got the short end of the stick on this one yet again. ;_;
...and again, just like "Scrubs," we immediately return to comedy...
Last night (after Scouts) Christine came over, ostensibly to watch either "the Haruhi show" (which we still haven't finished) or Eragon. Neither one happened; we ended up ordering pizza and watching "Deadliest Catch" and then switching over to the Food Network for a while. Somewhere around "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" (which was the cupcake episode) we were overwhelmed with the need to make cupcakes. Luckily I had everything we needed, because at 11:30 p.m. I didn't feel like running out to the store. While I made the cupcakes, Stine decided that they needed another show that would combine the best elements of everything we'd watched that evening:
Stine: They should combine them all and do one really awesome show... where they have to
compete against each other to make
really ornate cakes.... on a
crab boat.
Me: Yes! They can call it "Deadliest Ace of Throwdowns." It'll be great!
(Come on, tell me you wouldn't watch that. And Mike Rowe can narrate it!)
Well, anyway, the cupcakes were good. :)
